Zed Top 10: King Illest, the Illest in the Game!

October 12th, 2017

Popularly known as King of The South, King Illest is one of the baddest Hip Hop/Trap Rappers in Zambia. According to Urban Dictionary, the word Illest means “nothing better than” and you’ll soon learn that there’s actually none better than King Illest. His self-styled Tonga Trap is possibly what earned him the “King of The South” title, one he hones with all the dignity it deserves.

King Illest was born Mainga Mukando in Zambia’s Southern Province on December 1, 1993 in Choma. Fast forward to many years later and he’s shared the stage with a number of local and South African artists. One thing we’ll give to King Illest is his ability to keep it locked on the style front – the brother always looks like brand new money. From his fur coats to his unparalleled accessories, this guys just gets it!

His latest track “Ndisweke” meaning“Get Lost” has been topping charts in Zambia and across the borders not only for its originality but the styling and quality of the track.
