Muweme Mwenda first met Andy at a church youth program though their meeting was a brief one which ended almost as quickly as it started. But Andy decided to act on his attraction to her by sending her a message later to continue the conversation. Muweme must have felt the attraction too as her response to his inboxed message triggered a slew of messages going back and forth between these two.

The pair built a friendship which later morphed into something a bit more serious as their mutual affection for each other grew stronger and stronger with time spent chatting on the phone as well as time spent together. With both parties feeling that it was time to take the relationship to the next level, members of their respective families were brought in and a date for the kitchen party was set.
